[ Comfortable. That’s too strong of a word. If he’s right about this being purgatory, and he’s spent the last week of his last chance in bed with Hawk, then that’s it. His fate is sealed. If it’s something else, then the uncertainty is more than worth being uncomfortable. He must look it, compared to Hawk. Which makes sense, he knows. Tim is certainly sympathetic, he doesn’t think the man’s crazy. He’s been hiding for longer, and in more demanding positions which put him under more scrutiny. It doesn’t take a lot of thought to understand why the promise that things are better in the future isn’t enough to pull him from the shadows. ]

It’s not as easy for me as you think it is. But I have to be strong enough to face it, because he’s not ready to. And that’s not a slight against him, I know why. But I need to do this. And I want him at my side while I do.
