Pian Ran follows after him, always happy to seek out more food. She grabs a clean plate, getting one of each of these slices. Sniffing at them both, Pian Ran considers the pastries. The spice cake smells like something recognizable, but the other is like nothing she's ever encountered. Like tea, and smoke, and honey, but different from all of those things. She takes a tentative bite of it, blinking as she processes the flavor and texture of the thick, decadent cake. "Oh. It's ... 'chocolate'? What kind of thing is it made from? That's ... wondrous. Nice to meet you, by the way. I'm Pian Ran."
She waves her fork in a sort of greeting and gives him a cheery, slightly chocolate-stained smile, then stabs the fork into the carrot cake to try that. This time, she wrinkles her nose, not sure what violation has been wrought upon the spices, but she doesn't think she approves.
