Matt wouldn't be much help if he could tell what Wille was thinking. In his life, certain things definitely have gotten better for him. He got out of his parents' house, achieved a sort of freedom in leaving his family's company. His old wounds don't remind him they hurt as often as they once did. But when it comes to love, Matt's not sure he's ever properly 'gotten over' anyone in his life. He's just moved on.

What he can tell: Although the other guy is giving him a yes--or more accurately, deal--it's not an unqualified yes. Matt nearly breaks in with just kidding or some other fig leaf. But then he thinks ... something transactional like this, taking a kiss in payment for a flower, that might count as kink by this chapel's standards. It could get them out of here.

"Okay," he echoes, beginning to smile. "In that case ..."

Matt steps closer, shuffling his bouquet to one arm so he won't stab Wille with any of the roses' thorns. As he approaches, he notes that they're nearly the same height. Wille might notice a scent hanging around Matt that's darker and richer than the flowers he carries. It's almost like smoky chocolate, and maybe a hint of cherry.

Matt reaches up to brush Wille's cheek with his fingertips. And he leans in, tilting his head gently.
