"Louis trusts you, Mr Molloy," he says, eventually. His expression is opaque, reflective. "He has lived with these ghosts for a long time. It is.. good for him to talk about them. Unspoken but clear in his bronzed eyes is the threat, the slender knife laid on the table between them. The stifled air of the room with the floor that slopes to the north. Don't make me regret it.
