the last time i was in a game was literally over a decade ago (young guns look away) and i've put off trying being in a game again during that timespan for a variety of reasons, from not totally vibing with the concepts to finding them too high-lift — i'm so grateful saltburnt exists because it has been such a wonderful re-entry point into the world of games and into getting to play a lot more with people i already love as well as with brand new friends i've been so happy to make!

it's been so clear with every new event and even every little question we've peppered y'all mods with that so much care and thought has gone into making this game; i might be the first but i certainly won't be the last person to bring up just how wild werewolf was. again, i've been out of the game (pun notwithstanding) for a long time, but i've never seen a plot run on that scale before, and it was so, so, so much fun to be a part of, especially seeing how much we as players could interact with what was going on and how accommodating the mods were to all the bullshit we wanted to do! i feel like i'm constantly seeing, for lack of a better term, quality of life improvements and little nudges to make things easier and more fun for all of us.

i'm also so grateful for this wonderful player base and all of the weird and wild cr i've been lucky enough to have, but i'll save my hollering on that subject for individual comments. it's been such a good time getting to play around in this sandbox, and i can't wait to get up to more trouble in 2025!

As an official Just This One Guy player, I am IN SUCH AWE of the variety of different character voices you manage to nail. Even without knowing any of the canons, your characterization is sharp and distinct, and it's a pleasure to read. I was already Galepilled before you brought him to Salt, and now I'm obsessed with seeing where these two sad big-eyed deer go in the future.

You've also been a warm and welcoming presence OOCly, with so much enthusiasm for not just your own CR but for other characters and players. I still remember that one of the first things you ever said to me was "This is how we win!!!" about a suggestion I had, and I was legit touched that you were so energetic. miyouuuuu i love youuuu!! getting closer with you ever since we hung out at ryan's has been THE BEST!!! shanks is fr so much fun and seeing what he's up to with the opla cast is always a blast, i genuinely feel like that cast is one of the staples/backbones of the whole game. i'm also obsessed w wally and tim now, which should be in direct contradiction to hawk's interests, but they are so nerdy and pure i am hooked. aside from that i absolutely love chatting with you on the side, plotting silly stuff, and i can always count on you for a witty observation or something hilarious. i hope we get to do much more nonsense in 2025, hawk has to redeem his dick challenging contest at some point okok!

Jess I'm so happy I've gotten to know you and your boys here in Salt!!! Matt and Gideon's CR has been so sweet, and Matt and Hyunsu have been so ... geared towards handing out body parts, which is weirdly enough a subgenre of Matt CR. Your writing is really engaging and keeps threads moving at a brisk clip, which in turn energizes me and makes me excited to tag even when my brain is drooping. It's clear you put a lot of thought into your characters, and I love when you'll post gifs or little bits from canon and even with zero knowledge of the source material, I recognize whatever it is from threads.
