Marriage often requires fidelity. Stability. Not a husband who will spend his time roaming beneath the trees and bending to nature's call. As much as I might desire a family to come home to, I have long since accepted it may not be my fate.

There was this chapel a few months back — I was locked inside with Teddie because of some kind of spell, and the way to break it was to get married. But I don't think it really counts in the real world, so. [ A soft shrug. ] Half-married.

Oh, I did know him, at least. He’s my elder brother. We grew up together with the expectation.

I don’t think he was pleased to be tied down to anyone. But married life is like that, I suppose.
