[ Puttting his drink down, Dom pulls his shirt up to his ribcage with one hand and hooks his thumb in the waistband of his pants with the other, exposing the Wrath sigil on his hip. ]

Sometimes people tell me they get like... a bad energy from it.

[Who is Theo not to scoot over, immediately reaching out with two fingertips to touch the sigil? He furrows his brow and tries to concentrate, before moving his hand so that his palm covers the mark as if that'll siphon more out of it.]

It feels... spicy. If that makes sense.

[ His skin twitches slightly, just under Theo's full touch. ]

I guess. [ A pause, looking down at it. ] You're not feeling angry or anything, are you?

[chokedout]

... Not really? I don't know. Should I?

[The more he focuses, the more he starts to think he can pull something from it - but then he pulls back his hand quickly. And then cups it to his own hip, where his mark started to burn.]

Ow. So much for that working.

[ And Theo pulls his hand away, startling Dom a little bit. Letting go of his shirt and waistband, he starts to reach for him but changes his mind. ]

What? Are you okay?

[chokedout]

Yeah, it's my...

[Soft, amused smirk.]

It's my mark? It likes to be spicy sometimes, too. Usually when I'm trying to use magic...

[He lifts his shirt, mirroring the mark showcase Dom just did - maybe their universes are more parallel in some themes than they thought? The little circle moves like ink in water, with a straight-edged 'B' in the middle. Sigil of an asshole, rather than a sin.]

Wil put it on me a while back. To keep me in line.

[ A pause, watching. Whoa. ]

Like a chain. [ Except permanent. And on his skin. ] Why's it moving?

[chokedout]

Yeah.

[Like a chain.]

I dunno - I figured it's just part of his magic, stuck in me. I want to get it off. Or out.

[ Nodding... But he can't even begin to imagine how to accomplish that. Aside from mundane methods. That would really hurt. ]

What does the 'B' stand for?

Bennet. His name's Willem Bennet, but he'll also go by William.
