Men often think we are objects for them to use.

He died even before my husband, the Khal did. I do not mourn my brother's death, just the brother he once was.

Have you happier memories from your younger years with him? You grew up in Pentos, if I remember right.

We were taken in secret when my brother fell to the Usurper. First to Braavos. I was 5 when Ser Willem Darry died. From there my brother would take me to whoever would host us. [Their fortune was already gone at that point.]

Before I was wed we were in Pentos though at Master Illyrio Mopatis' house. He was kind to take us in and keep my brother at bay. He was already growing violent.

Violent, towards you?

Yes. His touch was only sweet if he wanted something of me. Otherwise I was told to not awaken the dragon.

But he was no dragon.

You deserved better from one who claimed to be family.

This is pain that I have known. My second husband was the worst kind of man. He had the end that he deserved.

How did the wakened dragon meet with his?

I am sorry for that, but glad that justice was served for you.

My husband served him his gold crown. Molten, on the top of his head.

[Fitting really, but the memory of that day, of having a knife to her belly, with the child she was meant to have. It is still painful for many reasons.]
