I feel you might be right. It's terribly unscientific but... maybe there are echoes in time. Sometimes I feel I can almost see a past I've never known.

Not really. My parents are pretty straight laced, no nonsense types. I mean, I definitely lean the other way but... it was just like I did it on autopilot. Which is weird, right?

I did find my smokes five minutes later. But I don't think it's related.

[He means it as a joke, but something in it rings strangely. Harry frowns and strokes Teddie's back.]

[Teddie laughs, nonetheless.]

Mmm, looking for something? It has to be genuinely lost.

[He blinks. That just came out.]

[He hugs Teddie close.]

Oh. Maybe? I mean, can't hurt to play pretend - remind me to try tomorrow and I will.

[Teddie sits up a bit, leaning on his elbow - just so he can better look Harry in the face with a faux-surprised look. He then kisses him on the cheek and settles back down.]

Sooo. Would you be up for breakfast? We can keep on this new trend of deep conversation in lieu of hot, passionate sex until we feel like switching it up.

[Harry laughs softly.]

I would.

...and I'm not opposed to the hot, passionate sex. You are very attractive.

[He pats Harry on the belly.]

[Harry flushes slightly. He is a slim man, but his belly is soft and furry. He's a little self conscious about it when he's not drunk.]

[It feels like a foreign question for a second - something he's got to get used to answering, blaming that on relationship after relationship and fling after fling tainting his view. But he doesn't come up empty - he just thoughtfully chews his lip for a beat before answering:]

I like a little romance too - when it's soft, or slow. Rhythmic, almost. I like feeling someone kiss my neck and tell me all the reasons they like me, or want me. I like it just as much as the rough and tumble. I know they're two separate zones but - I like them in even balance. Do you prefer topping?

I see. That's really rather sweet of you.

[He smiles.]

Not really. That is, I enjoy both equally. But when one goes on holiday to a manor full of twinks one usually winds up playing daddy.

[Theo comes up for air a moment later, then pecks at the corner of Harry's lips. His hand feels over his cheek, almost like he's missing something there.]
